SOCHI. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has stressed that Moscow is ready for dialogue with Kyiv in case Ukraine has something to propose on advancing relations with Russia.
"If one of the sides gets some ideas about possible ways of improving relations, the other side will always be ready to listen to these ideas in a most constructive way," Peskov said.
That was his response to the request of Interfax to comment on a recent interview with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych who said that the relations of the two countries have fallen into a spin.
Peskov stressed that relations between Russia and Ukraine are very multifaceted and recalled that President Vladimir Putin spoke of that at a Tuesday press conference during his visit to Italy.
"What the president said boiled down to the idea that Russia cooperated with Ukraine in the past, cooperates with it now and will cooperate in the future in any case. And the president expressed Russia's interest in that," Peskov said.
