Several terrorist attacks prevented in Ingushetia - NAC

MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Three explosive devices that contained the equivalent of 29 kilograms of TNT and were apparently intended for terrorist attacks have been confiscated by law enforcement agencies in the Republic of Ingushetia in Russia's North Caucasus over the past 24 hours, the press center of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) said.

A container filled with a mixture of ammonium nitrate and hexogen equivalent to five kilograms of TNT and equipped with a detonating fuse was found on Proletarskaya Street in the town of Malgobek, it said.

The bomb was defused after tenants were evacuated from nearby buildings.

Two improvised explosive devices each equivalent to 12 kilograms of TNT, a suicide vest and grenades were confiscated from the scene of a previous police operation, as a result of which two militants were killed.
