BRUSSELS. Dec 5 (Interfax) - The Ukraine-NATO Commission will meet on December 10 at the level of ambassadors and the session will be attended by Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Olefirov, head of the Ukrainian mission to NATO Ihor Dolgov has said.
"We expect the session of the Ukraine-NATO Commission on December 10 to evaluate the implementation of the annual national plan for 2013 and to submit the plan for next year," the Ukrainian diplomat announced in Brussels on Wednesday after a meeting of foreign ministers of partner-countries.
Dolgov said that the agenda of bilateral Ukrainian-NATO contacts will be very eventful until the end of the year. "We look forward to a session of the political committee with a special representative of the Foreign Ministry in the Middle East. We also look forward to regular sessions of the high-level group on military reform issues. The Ukrainian side is satisfied with the constructive cooperation with NATO," he said.
Speaking of Ukraine's further involvement in the NATO mission in Afghanistan after 2014 Dolgov said that Kyiv already "promised to continue rendering assistance to the Afghan government and participating in the new mission."
"There is also a certain financial contribution of the Ukrainian government to the fund for 2015. It is in our interests to continue helping Afghanistan and we will be doing that together with our partners," the diplomat said.
