NOVO-OGARYOVO. Dec 5 (Interfax) - It is premature to name anyone who may be released under future amnesty, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.
"It is extremely premature to say that the amnesty will apply to certain particular names, to particular individuals. It is reckless and wrong to say so at the present moment," Peskov said to journalists on Wednesday.
He said the amnesty bill will be finalized and clear criteria of the amnesty will be defined in dialogue of representatives of the Kremlin administration, parliament, experts and civil society.
"It [amnesty] will be finalized in the next few days. There is apparent general agreement with the idea that it can apply to those who have not committed violent crimes," Peskov said.
