Swedish Foreign Minister criticizes policy of Russia regarding Ukraine

BRUSSELS. Dec 16 (Interfax) - Russia is holding a propaganda campaign against Ukraine based on disinformation, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said.

Russia is resorting to economic pressure against Ukraine, Bildt said.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is using a policy of double standards, Bildt said.

Yanukovych says in Vilnius he will sign the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, then promises to try in court those, who drafted it, and then sends the first deputy prime minister to Brussels, who says nothing, the Swedish foreign minister said.

The European Union can sign the Association Agreement with Ukraine, if Kyiv proves its political will, Bildt said. In order to continue talks Ukraine should show willingness, which we have not seen yet, he said.
