Russian Interior Minister urges Chinese colleagues to exchange info on economic crimes more actively

BEIJING. Dec 16 (Interfax) - Russian-Chinese cooperation has reached an absolutely new level over the entire range of international problems, including law the enforcement sector, Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said at a meeting with Chinese Minister of State Security Geng Huichnag in Beijing.

"The contacts between the authorities of our countries are of intensive character, which shows that the strategic partnership course chosen is right and balanced," Kolokoltsev said.

The cooperation in the law enforcement sphere is an important part of the comprehensive Russian-Chinese dialog, Kolokoltsev said.

The Russian and Chinese law enforcement authorities have considerable experience of joint work multilaterally and bilaterally in fighting terrorism and extremism, the minister said.

Russia intends to expand the cooperation with the Chinese colleagues on a number of issues, including preventive measures and fighting terrorism and organized crime, Kolokoltsev said.

Taking into account trade turnover between the two countries, it is necessary to develop joint work in fighting economic crimes, Kolokoltsev said.
