TSKHINVAL. Dec 17 (Interfax) - Tskhinval said that the agreement with Georgia on non-use of force remained a priority issue for South Ossetia during the coming 26th round of the Geneva discussions.
"Our delegation will insist that a joint statement of discussion participants on commitment to the principle of non-use of force is passed as an interim step, South Ossetian presidential envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioyev told Interfax on Monday.
South Ossetia will also raise the issue on mutual release of prisoners kept on Georgian and Ossetian prisons and the issue of searching for South Ossetian residents went missing, Dzhioyev said.
"A number of humanitarian issues will be discussed as well," he said.
The 26th round of the discussions on the security in Transcaucasus will take place in Geneva on December 17-18. The discussions have been held since October 2008 on the basis of the presidents' agreements reached following the armed aggression of Georgia against South Ossetia in August 2008. The delegations of Abkhazia, Georgia, Russia, the United States and South Ossetia and representatives of the European Union, UN and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) participate in them equally. The delegation of Tskhinval is headed by Dzhioyev.
