MAKHACHKALA, Russia. Dec 18 (Interfax) - Several shots were fired at a police detail in Khasavyurt in the Dagestan republic in Russia's North Caucasus on Tuesday evening, a law enforcement source said.
"The policemen came under fire during a shift change. Nobody was hurt as a result of the attack. The [police] cars ended up with several bullet holes in them," the source told Interfax.
Police launched an operation to find the attackers.
