MOSCOW. Dec 25 (Interfax-AVN) - The fourth Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger airliner has been delivered to the Mexican airline Interjet, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, the aircraft's manufacturer, reported in a statement on Tuesday.
"This fourth delivery represents another important milestone for SuperJet International," the statement quoted Nazario Cauceglia, the SuperJet International CEO, as saying.
"The SSJ100 combines standards of economy, performance, environmental efficiency and passenger comfort never seen before in a 100-seat airliner," Cauceglia said.
The fifth and the sixth aircraft to be handed over to Interjet are currently under completion at SuperJet International's plant in Italy, the report says.
"Interjet ordered 20 SSJ100 plus 10 options in the 93-seats (34' pitch) configuration. The exclusive and comfortable interior is designed by Italian Company Pininfarina," it said.
The first three Interjet SSJ100s showed "outstanding" performance "with over 99% dispatch reliability and average daily utilization of 9 flight hours," it said.
"The aircraft accumulated 1,438 flight hours and 1,399 flight cycles through 7 destinations in Mexico (Mexico City, Torreon, Aguascalientes, Campeche, Minatitlan, Zacatecas and Mazatlan)," the report says.
