Zastava, Granat, Leer drones beef up combat potential of motorized infantry units in Orenburg region

MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Seven Zastava, Granat and Leer drone systems have been supplied to the separate motorized infantry brigade of the Central Military District stationed in the Orenburg region.

"The new armaments delivered under the state defense order contracts will support army operations and increase the efficiency of artillery units. They significantly enhance combat powers of the brigade with reconnaissance support in the day time and at night," says a district press service report obtained by Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.

Zastava and Granat are man-portable drones carrying modern video and photo equipment.

The vehicle-portable complex Leer is designed for radio reconnaissance, detection of radio emission sources and jamming of radio-electronic means, the report said.
