Progress M-21M resupply ship to lift ISS by two kilometers

MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax-AVN) - The Progress M-21M resupply ship will lift the International Space Station (ISS) by two kilometers on Saturday night, the Russian Mission Control Center told Interfax-AVN.

"The resupply ship engine will be started at 4:09 a.m. Moscow time. The engine will run for 519.8 seconds and give the station a boost of 1.18 meters per second. The ISS orbit will be lifted by two kilometers to 417 kilometers," he said.

The orbit will be adjusted ahead of docking with the Progress M-22M resupply ship, which will blast off from Baikonur on February 5.

At first, the orbit adjustment was planned for January 16. The operation was called off because of the threat of a collision with a piece of the old U.S. Delta-1rocket.
