MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Servicemen of the Eastern Military District began on Friday their first practice in drone units formed last year.
"Servicemen of the units deployed in the Khabarovsk and Kamchatka territories and the Sakhalin region are practicing preparation of the drones for flights and their operation in the Far Eastern winter season. Servicemen of the units had been trained to do so," Eastern Military District spokesman Lt. Col. Alexander Gordeyev told Interfax-AVN on Friday.
The units have been armed with approximately 30 sets of domestic drones for various purposes, he said.
"The deliveries will continue this year consistent with state defense orders," the spokesman said.
