MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax) - The situation that occurred when the conference, Geneva II, was organized did not add authority to the UN, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"I just feel sorry that this story didn't add authority to the United Nations Organization," Lavrov told a press conference in Moscow on Tuesday.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon first invited the Iranian delegation to Geneva II and then revoked that invitation, saying Iran had failed to confirm its adherence to the 2012 Geneva communique.
