MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax) - Russia is very concerned about the events in Ukraine and is urging all parties to conduct dialog, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We are very concerned about what is happening in Ukraine and are urging all parties to resolve problems solely through dialog," Lavrov said at a news conference in Moscow on Tuesday.
It is doubtful that the disturbances in Kyiv broke out without help from the outside, Lavrov said.
"Our colleagues from the United State demanded at the [meeting of] Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) council of foreign ministers in late December that the Ukrainian authorities listen to the nation, otherwise, they said, chaos will begin in the country. What is this - prophecy or prediction? I do not know," Lavrov said.
"Surely, someone is interested in this chaos," Lavrov said. "We are not. We want Ukraine to be stable. We are related too closely (…) to add gas to the fire," the minister said.
