GENEVA. Jan 22 (Interfax) - Russian and American experts will stay in Geneva after the delegation leaders' departure from the Geneva II Middle East peace conference.
UN/Arab League special envoy Lakhdar Brahimi will be responsible for permanent coordination of the inter-Syrian talks, jointly with experts from the countries that initiated the conference - Russia and the United States. If needed, they will work to facilitate the talks in coordination with Brahimi," a source in the Russian delegation told the press.
"If necessary, the level of Russian and American representatives observing the negotiating process will be enhanced," the source said.
