MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - Foreign Ministers Sergei Lavrov of Russia and Wang Yi of China met in Montreaux (Switzerland) a day earlier ahead of the international conference on Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
"The ministers discussed prospects for advancing the process of political settlement of the Syrian crisis in the context of the task of implementing the provisions of the June 30, 2012 Geneva communique," the ministry said on its website.
The meeting also focused on the pressing bilateral and international issues.
