Geneva II a test for international community - Kerry

MONTREAUX. Jan 22 (Interfax) - The Geneva II peaceful conference on Syria is a test for the entire international community, United States Secretary of State John Kerry said.

It is a test for all of us. For those who support the Syrian people in its struggle for freedom. A test for the international community which gathered here to ensure peace in Syria, so that people can live in dignity and not in fear, Kerry said at the start of the conference in the Swiss town of Montreaux.

He thanked all the countries present in Switzerland for their participation.
