MONTREUX. Jan 22 (Interfax) - The results of the Geneva II peace conference will be put to a nationwide referendum in Syria, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mualem said.
"It is the Syrian people's exclusive right enshrined in the constitution to decide its country's future. The conference results will be put to a nationwide referendum in Syria. Thus, we shall deliver the will of the Syrian people," al-Mualem said at the opening of the peace conference on Syria on Wednesday.
