MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The Military Board of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces has discussed the building of infrastructure in regiments shifting to new missile systems, forces spokesman Col. Igor Yegorov told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.
"The rearming of two missile regiments stationed in Nizhny Tagil and one regiment in Novosibirsk with Yars road-mobile missile systems will continue in 2014. The Kozelsk missile unit will continue to shift to Yars silo-based missiles," he said.
Russian Strategic Missile Forces Commander Col. Gen. Sergei Karakayev ordered after the Board meeting the exercise of strict control over the deliveries of armaments and military hardware to the forces under state defense contracts.
