MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax-AVN) - The Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) will put three Earth observation satellites into orbit in 2014, the Roscosmos press service said.
The Resurs P No2 satellite with a resolution exceeding one meter, Meteor-M No 2 with a resolution of 50-70 meters, a filming width of 1,000 kilometers and sweeping observation of the Russian territory within two or three days, and the Electro-L No 2 geostationary hydro-meteorological vehicle of global observation will be deployed into orbit.
The plans were announced by Roscosmos head advisor Valery Zaichko at a meeting with federal executive authorities at Russian Space System's Scientific Center for Remote Sensing.
