KYIV. Jan 31 (Interfax) - At a recent meeting in the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian military discussed the text of the address to Ukraine's President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Viktor Yanukovych.
"Stating their civil position, the Ukrainian military and Defense Ministry officials called on the supreme commander-in-chief to take urgent measures to stabilize the situation in the country and achieve accord in society within the current legislation," the Ukrainian Defense Ministry press service reported.
The ministry also said that the seizure of state buildings and obstruction of work by state officials and local self-government officials are unacceptable, saying that further escalation of the conflict in Ukraine poses a threat to the territorial integrity of the country.
