First deputy general director, deputy general director of Rostec appointed

MOSCOW. Jan 31 (Interfax-AVN) - Staff reshuffle has been conducted in the administration of the state corporation Rostec.

"Vladimir Artyakov, who was previously deputy general director of the corporation Rostec, has been appointed first deputy general director of Rostec. The new deputy general director is Sergei Skvortsov, who was previously managing director on investment," the Rostec press service said in a report obtained by Interfax-AVN on Friday.

Artyakov will be in charge of supervision of the fulfillment of state defense contracts, federal programs, and military-technical cooperation programs, the report says.

"In addition, the first deputy general director will be in charge of industrial and innovations policies, reform of the corporation's organizations, control over the implementation of strategic development and programs of the corporations' holding companies and organizations, and supervision of industrial assets restructuring," the press service reported.

The previous first deputy director of Rostec was Alexei Aleshin, who became head of Rostekhnadzor in January 2014.

"While working as deputy general director of Rostec, Sergei Skvortsov will remain in charge of investment policies, the transition of the corporation to IFRS, securities placement, including the preparation of holdings for IPO, issue of bonds and other debt instruments, and he will also be in charge of working with non-core assets," the press service reported.

Skvortsov will remain in charge of managing the processes of assets sales and acquisitions and interaction with strategic investors and financial institutions, including on issues relating to the financing of the corporation's investment projects.

"Vladimir Artyakov and Sergei Skvortsov are real professionals. They have the qualities that will be needed in their new positions," Rostec General Director Sergei Chemezov was quoted by the press service as saying.

Chemezov said Artyakov is experienced in working in the sphere of public administration and resolving major issues associated with the development of the machine-building sector. "Skvortsov has implemented dozens of large-scale projects aimed at drawing direct foreign investment to Russia," he said.
