KYIV. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Zhang Xiyun hopes for swift stabilization of the domestic situation in Ukraine.
"China is consistently pursuing a non-interference policy. But that does not mean we are indifferent to what is happening here," the Chinese diplomat told reporters in Kyiv on Friday after meeting with Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Viktor Maiko.
Ukraine is China's strategic partner, and the two countries are currently implementing many projects in various spheres of the economy, he said. "So I am wishing them a prompt recovery of a normal rhythm of life, all the more so because I live on Hrushevsky Street," the ambassador added.
