MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - Moscow has treated with understanding the opinion of the Syrian opposition on the necessity to establish an interim government in Syria, National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces head Ahmad Jarba said.
"A ruling interim body is the main thought. It will manage other processes. We have felt the understanding of Russia on this stance," Jarba told Interfax on Tuesday.
The Syrian opposition and Russian diplomats have common opinions regarding the necessity for the Syrian parties to implement the provisions of the Geneva I conference communique, Jarba said.
"We have said along with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that the Geneva declaration is a source and basis. It is necessary to implement the resolution of the Geneva I in this regard," Jarba said.
The stances on the importance of the Geneva communique was understood during the talks with the Russian Foreign Minister, Jarba said.
