Acting Defense Minister tells Yanukovych about Armed Forces tasks in 2014

KYIV. Feb 5 (Interfax) - Acting Ukrainian Defense Minister Pavlo Lebedev has reported 2014 tasks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to President Viktor Yanukovych.

"Tasks are being accomplished; servicemen are stationed on their permanent positions and are engaged in combat training," Lebedev told the Ukrainian president on Tuesday.

The acting minister also informed Yanukovych about progress on the Armed Forces' transition to service by contract, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry press service said.
