Putin signs into law bill on unification of Supreme Court, Higher Arbitration Court

MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law a bill amending the constitution under which the Supreme Court and the Higher Arbitration Court will be unified.

The law liquidates the Higher Arbitration Court and stipulates that the matters under its jurisdiction will fall under the Supreme Court's jurisdiction.

"A six-month transitional period is to be introduced to carry out the said procedures," the presidential press service said.
