Russia's Vysokotochniye Kompleksy credited with fruitful integration of resources

MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax-AVN) - The creation in 2009 of the Vysokotochniye Kompleksy (High Precision Systems) holding company, which groups 19 enterprises developing precision weapons, was a project that has been fully vindicated, according to a statement from the company made available to Interfax-AVN.

"The enterprises of the holding company develop modern and multirole precision weapon systems and organize their regular industrial production. Many of them possess unique tactical and technical characteristics, are unrivalled worldwide, and are supplied to all arms and services of the Russian Armed Forces and law enforcement structures of the country. Products designed by enterprises of the holding company are also in the arsenals of more than 70 states," the statement said.

Products of Vysokotochniye Kompleksy enterprises include the Pantsir-S1, a combined short- to medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system developed by Instrument Design Bureau (KBP) in Tula and tactical ballistic missile system Iskander-M, designed by KBM in Kolomna.

The ADS amphibious rifle, which has been in service in the Russian Army for the last few years, is one more design that comes from Vysokotochniye Kompleksy, which was set up by the Rostec corporation and was registered in February 2009.

Alexander Denisov was appointed general director of the holding company and Yaroslav Karpov his first deputy and the group's executive director.

Besides KBP and KBM, Vysokotochniye Kompleksy includes Nudelman Precision Engineering Design Bureau (KB Tochmash) and TsNIAG in Moscow; Metallist Serpukhov Plant in Serpukhov, Moscow region; Tulamashzavod, Tulatochmash, Tulsky Oruzheiny Zavod (TOZ), TsKBA and Tula Cartridge Works (TPZ) in Tula; Gidrometpribor in Safonovo, Smolensk region; Rotor in Vologda; VNII Signal, KEMZ and Degtyaryov Plant in Kovrov, Vladimir region; VMZ in Volsk, Saratov region; Saratov Aviation Plant (SAZ) in Saratov; SKB Turbina in Chelyabinsk; and Nytva in Perm territory.
