MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) - Prosecutors have sent to the investigative bodies a series of materials for opening criminal cases in connection with violations in the creation of the innovative center Skolkovo, Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika said.
"As to Rusnano, three criminal cases have been opened based on the materials provided by prosecutors. As far as Skolkovo is concerned, over four documents have been submitted to the investigative bodies, which will make a procedural decision," Chaika said in the State Duma on Wednesday.
Chaika also said the Prosecutor General's Office is effectively fighting violations in the banking sphere.
"A working group has been created in the Prosecutor General's Office, which involved representatives of the Central Bank, the Federal Security Service, the Interior Ministry, and the Investigations Committee. Literally in the past two years, over forty criminal cases on misappropriations worth over 34 billion rubles were opened on the basis of material provided by the Central Bank at the initiative of this group," he said.
