Russian and German foreign ministers discuss European affairs

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - Germany has closely been following the developments at the XXII Winter Olympic Games in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said.

"Today Germany's attention is fully devoted to Russia in light of the Olympic Games," he said at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Friday.

Steinmeier said that he had already met with Lavrov on Thursday to discuss some of the conflicts being waged in the world today.

"Today we would like to focus on bilateral relations," the German minister said.

Lavrov, for his part, said that he would like to discuss European affairs as well.
