Sweden foreign minister's info about Russia's alleged insistence on anti-terror operation in Ukraine is untrustworthy - Moscow source

MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax) - A Russian Foreign Ministry source has dismissed a claim made by Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt that Russia is allegedly speaking about the need to conduct a "anti-terrorist operation" in Ukraine as a "piece of untrustworthy information".

"Such acts cannot be viewed as anything other than a piece of untrustworthy information concerning Russia's alleged involvement in the Ukrainian events," the source told Interfax.

"This is being done at a moment when any careless word may trigger fresh riots," the source said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry's remarks came in response to a message posted by Bildt on his Twitter page saying that the Foreign Ministry of "Russia (mfa Russia) talks about "attempted coup d'etat and the need for an "anti-terrorist operation" in Ukraine. It's chilling to hear."

In response, the Russian Foreign Minister, on its Twitter page, asked Bildt to "provide the exact quote of @mfa_Russia saying that Russia talks about the need for an "anti-terrorist operation in Ukraine."

Bildt replied: "@mfa_Russia Agree. Was not official Russian statement. But coup d'etat certainly was."
