Yanukovych and Zakharchenko are probably still in Ukraine - Deputy Prosecutor General

KYIV. Feb 27 (Interfax) - First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Mykola Golomsha has said quoting operative reports that former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and former Interior Minister Vitaly Zakharchenko are still in Ukrainian territory.

"The Ukrainian Security Service and police are pointing out to the possible locations. For instance, yesterday a place where they could be was indicated and officers of Interior Ministry and the Ukrainian Security Service were involved on a full scale in carrying out certain steps to detain them," he said at a Wednesday press conference.

Asked whether Yanukovych and Zakharchenko are abroad Golomsha said: "There is information that they are still in Ukraine."

He said the search Yanukovych and Zakharchenko began several days ago.
