Vladivostok rally in support of Ukrainian people draws up to 5,000

VLADIVOSTOK. March 11 (Interfax) - Some 5,000 residents of Vladivostok, a city in Russia's Far East, joined a rally in support of the Ukrainian people on Tuesday, a Primorye Territory police spokesman told reporters.

"Large-scale events in support of the people of Ukraine were held in the center of Vladivostok. They were attended by members of different public organizations, as well as residents of the region seeking to express their civic position. Up to 5,000 people took part in the events," he said.

No public order offences were reported during the rally, he added.
