MOSCOW. March 17 (Interfax) - The unacceptability of neo-Nazism revival and respecting the interests of Ukraine's multiethnic nation should become the principles, upon which the international support group for Ukraine operates, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Russia has proposed that the West form a compact group to support Ukraine that is acceptable for all political forces of Ukraine, the document said.
The statement lists the principles, upon the basis of which this group should operate - "respecting the interests of Ukraine's multiethnic nation; supporting legitimate aspirations of all Ukrainians and all regions of the country to live in safety in accordance with their traditions and customs, to use mother tongue freely, to have unobstructed access to their own culture, and to maintain comprehensive ties with own fellow citizens and neighbors."
The Russian Foreign Ministry stipulates two more principles - "the unacceptability of the revival of neo-Nazi ideology, the necessity of Ukrainian politicians dissociating themselves from ultra-nationalists and to cease their attempts to de-stabilize different regions of the country; recognizing the significant importance of civil peace and national accord in Ukraine for the advancement of constructive relations in the Euro-Atlantic region on the basis of equal rights and taking into account the interests of all countries located here."
