MOSCOW. March 17 (Interfax) - The investigation of the criminal case regarding four gang members accused of a number of notorious assaults and murders in Moscow has been completed, the Russian Investigative Committee said in a statement obtained by Interfax on Monday.
"The probe into the criminal case regarding Sergei Balikhin, Viktor Yakubev, Marat Yusupov and Yury Kozlov has been completed. Depending on each member's role, they are accused of banditry, assault and illegal arms trafficking," the document said.
Investigators believe that in 2009 Balikhin created a stable armed group in order to attack people and to take possession of their property.
"The attacks were planned comprehensively and were carried out with cynicism and cruelty. Investigators have determined the involvement of the gang members in murdering nine people," the statement said.
