KYIV. March 17 (Interfax) - Ukraine has asked Russia yet again to hold an observation flight in the framework of the Open Skies Treaty, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
Kyiv plans to carry out the flight between March 18 and March 21 and Russia has agreed already, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Information Policy Department Director Yevhen Perebyinis said.
"Ukraine sent a new request to Russia on March 15 along the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) channels to hold such a flight in the western regions of Russia, which border the Ukrainian regions," Perebyinis said.
The Russian defense minister has said Russia agreed to take a group of Ukrainian inspectors on an observation flight over the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
