BRUSSELS. March 18 (Interfax) - Crimea's voters have every right to decide their future, Russia's Ambassador to NATO, Alexander Grushko, said.
"The people of Crimea have made their sovereign choice. And no statements will be able to influence this choice," Grushko said on his Twitter page on Monday evening.
Grushko's remarks followed a statement earlier made in Brussels by the North Atlantic Council, which reiterated its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The council described Crimea's March 16 referendum as "illegal and illegitimate" and said that allies (NATO member countries) would not recognize its results.
