Sevastopol residents break into territory of Ukrainian military unit

SEVASTOPOL. March 19 (Interfax) - Participants in a rally held near the headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy cut the cordon bands and broke onto its territory on Wednesday.

An alarm went off on the territory of the unit and Ukrainian troops formed a human chain before the protesters. The chain was broken by the activists' cars, which were placed on the territory of the headquarters.

In the meantime, the people of Sevastopol continue calling on the Ukrainian troops to leave the unit, and heated debates, which sometimes leads to fighting, are going on. Ambulances have been called to the site.

Sevastopol residents have replaced the Ukrainian flags on the building with the state flag and the Andreyev flag. The Russian national anthem was playing and the people of Sevastopol applauded in the process.
