KYIV. March 20 (Interfax) - The latest escalation of tensions in Crimea has occurred in response to Ukraine's plans to sign the political section of its Association Agreement with the European Union, Ukraine's acting president and Verkhovna Rada speaker, Oleksandr Turchynov, said.
"The exacerbation of the situation in Crimea is linked with the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union," he said at a parliamentary session on Thursday.
