KYIV. March 20 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Security Service, the Defense Ministry, and the armed forces have been instructed to carry out an order on putting the armed forces on combat alert, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andriy Parubiy said.
"It has been ordered, jointly with the Ukrainian Security Service, the Interior Ministry, and the armed forces of Ukraine, that the unconditional implementation of the previous decisions by the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council regarding partial mobilization and putting the Ukrainian armed forces on full combat alert be ensured," Parubiy said at a news conference following a National Security and Defense Council meeting.
The order included completing "the deployment of tactical armed forces groups in Ukraine's border regions to protect Ukraine's borders and territorial integrity," he said.
