YEREVAN. March 20 (Interfax) - Armenian President Serzh Sargsian and Azeri President Ilham Aliyev might meet at the end of March, Armenian National Security Council Secretary Artur Bagdasarian said.
"A meeting between the Armenian and Azeri presidents is planned for March 23-25. Armenia is continuing to favor the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in a peaceful way based on mutual compromises," the Armenian news agency First Informational quoted Bagdasarian as saying.
Speaking at an international conference dealing with NATO and the Southern Caucasus and strategic approaches to regional security, Bagdasarian noted also that "the ball is in Azerbaijan's court, since the agreements that have been achieved are not being developed."
"A safe and stable region is important not only for NATO but also for the entire civilized community," he said.
