Naryshkin: by adopting sanctions, West seeks to justify itself and impose blame for its failures in Ukraine on Russia

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - In seeking to impose sanctions on Russia, the West is trying to justify its policies that have plunged Ukraine into chaos, Russian State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin said.

"I view today's intentions to introduce sanctions against Russia as nothing other than an attempt on the part of Western politicians to justify themselves before public opinion and impose the blame for their own failures that have led to this chaos, profound political crisis and human deaths in Ukraine on Russia," he said at a State Duma session on Friday.
