TBILISI. March 25 (Interfax) - The Georgian prime minister's envoy for Russia Zurab Abashidze said he supported continuing a dialogue between Tbilisi and Moscow.
"Georgia does not have diplomatic ties with Russia. In the format of meetings with Mr. Karasin [Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin] we consider issues and try to resolve them in such a way that is possible, so our format has not lost actuality so far," Abashidze told reporters on Tuesday.
"The existence of the second format - the Geneva discussions - is of great importance as well," Abashidze said.
"The events in Ukraine have turned everything upside down," Abashidze said. "The international law and security of Europe are so shaken that a question arises how this can be stopped at all," he said.
"The functioning of many international organizations is up in the air, if they do not act effectively," he said.
