Russia's Prosecutor signs order to set up prosecutor's offices in Crimea, Sevastopol

SIMFEROPOL. March 25 (I(Interfax) - Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika has signed an order to set up prosecutor's offices in Russia's new constituent territories - the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, spokeswoman for the Russian Prosecutor General's Office Marina Gridneva told Interfax.

Natalya Poklonskaya has been appointed as acting prosecutor of Crimea and Igor Shevchenko as acting prosecutor of Sevastopol, she said.

In accordance with the order, the Prosecutor's Office of Crimea will have an administration attached and have 22 branches in Crimea's districts and cities, Gridneva said.

"Crimea will also have a prosecutor's office for the penitentiary, and nature conservation prosecutor's offices in Simferopol and Kerch," she said.

The prosecutor' s office of Sevastopol will consist of the city prosecutor's office and four district prosecutor's offices, Gridneva also said.

The city will also have a nature-conservation prosecutor's office, while the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office will encompass the Kerch, Crimean and Sevastopol transport prosecutor's offices," she said.
