Saakashvili refuses to be interviewed online by Georgian prosecutors

TBILISI. March 28 (Interfax) - Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has declined the prosecutors' offer to question him via video link.

The proposal was made on Thursday after the ex-chief of state had failed to appear for questioning as a witness to several criminal cases.

The Georgian television station Rustavi-2 aired the comment Saakashvili made in Kyiv at a meeting with former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

He doubted the legitimacy of the prosecutors' demand and said he was very busy and "would not waste time on such silliness."
