KYIV. March 28 (Interfax) - Russia denouncing agreements with Ukraine on the Black Sea Fleet's deployment will mean that the Russian fleet will be in Crimea illegally, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
"In case Russia denounces these agreements, the Russian fleet will be illegal in Crimea," Ukrainian Foreign Minister information policy department director Yevhen Perebyinis said at a briefing on Friday.
Following such a step, Russia will have to think about withdrawing the Black Sea Fleet," he said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry sent a note to the Ukrainian embassy in Moscow on Friday informing of Russia's intention to denounce the Russian-Ukrainian agreement of Russian Black Sea Fleet staying in Crimea.
It has been decided to start the denunciation of some bilateral Russian-Ukrainian documents during a meeting with Russian Security Council permanent members, Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters earlier on Friday.
