Number of scientific companies to increase - Shoigu

MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has praised the performance of scientific military companies created last year.

"The scientific companies created a year ago have proven themselves," Shoigu said.

The number of such formations will subsequently increase, the minister said.

To date, Russia has set up four scientific companies - air force, aerospace defense, naval and one for the General Staff.

It was reported earlier that the number of scientific companies in the Russian Federation is due to reach eleven by the end of 2014.
