KYIV. March 31 (Interfax) - Ukraine has protested a current visit to Crimea by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
"The head of the government of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, arrived on the territory of Ukraine - in the autonomous republic of Crimea - on March 31. In a note to Russia, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed a categorical protest, stressing that the presence of an official of a foreign state on the territory of Ukraine without the consent of the Ukrainian side is a violation of the rules underlying international relations," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebiynis told a briefing in Kyiv.
