69 airplanes and helicopters to fly over Moscow during May 9 parade

MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Up to 69 airplanes and helicopters of the Russian Air Force will fly over Moscow at an altitude of 200 meters during the Victory Day military parade on May 9, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a press release, seen by Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.

"Su-24, Su-25, Su-27, Su-34, MiG-29, MiG-31, An-22, An-124-100, Il-76, Il-78, A-50, Tu-22M3, Yu-95, Tu-160, and Yak-130 planes, as well as Mi-8-Mi-26, Mi-28 and Ka-52 helicopters will fly in a single formation at an altitude of 200 meters," it said.

The Russkiye Vityazi and Strizhi aerobatics groups, as well as airplanes operated by pilots from the Lipetsk Center of the Russian Defense Ministry will perform in the airspace over Moscow's Red Square as well.

"The first stage of the crews' preparations ahead of the military parade is proceeding at their permanent bases," the ministry said.
