KYIV. April 2 (Interfax) - The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered six more presidential candidates, including Svoboda leader Oleh Tyahnybok, Civil Position leader Anatoliy Hrytsenko and Ukrainian People's Party leader Oleksandr Klymenko who were nominated by the congresses of these political forces.
The decision was made by the CEC on Tuesday.
The other three are independents: famous Ukrainian doctor and Maidan activist Olga Bohomolets, ex-minister of social policy Natalia Korolevska and ex-chief of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Vasyl Tsushko.
The agenda also included the question of registration of Right Sector leader Dmytro Yarosh as a candidate but CEC had doubts about his payment document regarding a 2.5-million hryvni deposit. The issue was postponed until Wednesday.
Twenty out of the 24 bidders, who have filed a full package of documents, have been registered as candidates.
The deadline for registration is April 4.
The Ukrainian presidential election is scheduled for May 25.
