MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - The U.S. Embassy to Russia said on Wednesday that Russian diplomats posted in the United States "have been provided full access" to Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, who is serving a sentence in an American prison.
"Russian Consular officials have been provided full access to Yaroshenko, and will continue to have it @MID_RF @KKDolgov," the embassy tweeted.
The addressee of the Twitter entry was Konstantin Dolgov, the Russian Foreign Ministry's human rights commissioner, who earlier in the day complained to the head of the embassy's political section, Howard Solomon, that Yaroshenko was prevented from exercising his legitimate rights.
